Balanced stay near theatre district
great location attention detail responsive staff noisy room poor insulation cold toilet
The location was fantastic for visiting the theatre district. It was a short walk to shows. The room decor had very nice attention to detail in a gothic style. This created a high-end experience. I liked the responsive staff.
The room proved to be noisy. I could hear street noise. The window insulation seemed poor, made the room cold. The toilet was also very cold, as there was no heating.

underwhelming stay, some issues need addressing
dark decor impractical layout
The room decor was a bit too dark. It felt oppressive. i mentioned this at check-in, but the only solution was a standard lamp, not really a fix! also, the bathroom layout was impractical. everything got wet. Even the toilet paper, plus, there was no heating, so it was quite cold. it seemed like style was prioritized over functionality, a shame.

generous size charming touch
the room was spacious (it had a separate bath and bar area). the minibar was thoughtfully stocked with both half and full-sized bottles. the art deco-style bath environment had charm and elegance.
i found the reception area a bit confusing. it was also not very cute.
